Another brewery is being built in the lakes area of Minnesota. Tavern Brewing will be brewing their own beer this Summer in Detroit Lakes and now Disgruntled Brewing is setting up operations in Perham, MN and hope to be open in the Fall.
I talked with Brett Doebbeling, the brewer for Disgruntled Brewing and he said “Well we’ve started construction on a new 5000 sq ft building in the industrial park in Perham, MN. We’ll have a 1000 sq ft taproom attached to a 4000 sq ft production brewery.” They’re plan has been reviewed and approved by the Deptartment of Agriculture and will soon apply at the Federal level to the TTB. The two other partners that are involved are Andy Pettow and Craig Salmela of the Perham area.
Disgruntled Brewing has ordered a 7bbl brewhouse that should arive in late August. Their website and facebook page are in the works and should go public soon. They plan to have pints, flights, growlers, and 750ml bottles available in the taproom with 1/2 bbl and 1/6 bbl kegs for self distribution. Cans and/or bottles may be offered in the future.
Brett is very excited to bring his own style of brewing to the masses and plans to have 7 year round offerings plus a different seasonal offering every month.
