Buffalo Commons Brewing Co. is shipping beer

On Friday February 15th, Buffalo Commons Brewing Co. in Mandan, ND posted the picture below on Facebook with the caption, “Almost like watching your kids leave for college!”.  It was a shot of several kegs in the back of a van and they added a comment, “Our first load of kegs heads to Mcquade Distributing!”.

So congratulations to Buffalo Commons Brewing, then next active brewery in the state of ND which now brings that number to 4.  A big jump from last year when we spent most of the year without any beer being brewed commercially in the state.

Hopslam is coming on January 28th

Bell’s Hopslam is a Double IPA brewed with honey that has quite a following.  It is only available for a limited time in limited amounts and thus is not cheap.

99 Bottles and Bridgeview liquors have announced that they will be getting in their shipments of Hopslam on Monday January 28th and once it is in, they will limit sales to 2 6-packs per person that initial day.

Bernies in Fargo will be getting their shipment on the 28th too and they will be allowing people to buy it by the case if you want.

Other liquor stores and bars will be getting in their own shipments but no word from any others yet on exact dates or limits.  Last year Hopslam sold quick but enough made it into the F/M market that you could still pick up a 6-pack a couple weeks after it was released.

Laughing Sun releases Shallow Mud Rye Stout

Laughing Sun Brewing Co.Laughing Sun Brewery in Bismarck will be tapping the first of their single batch series of beers, Shallow Mud Rye Stout, on Tuesday January 8th.  Doors open at 4pm, Tues-Fri, 2pm Sat

More Wood Chipper IPA on the way

Fargo Beer Company posted on facebook earlier this week that they just brewed a batch of Wood Chipper IPA and it should be here in time for the holidays, and bottles will be available.
